As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects by managing contract administration processes from start to finish.

About the Role

As a Contract Administrator, you will work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and external stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations are met and project outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders is crucial for success.
  • Negotiating contract terms with internal and external stakeholders requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and updating existing contract templates is essential for ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Ensuring that key stakeholders understand and comply with company contracts is critical for successful project delivery.
  • Analyzing potential risks involved with specific contract terms requires careful consideration and expert knowledge.
  • Providing ongoing support for the project teams on a day-to-day basis for the management of contracts and understanding of the scope of works is essential for project success.
  • Acting as the primary company contact for contractual matters on projects requires strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Preparing variation proposals in conjunction with Project Managers is a critical aspect of contract administration.
  • Preparing contractual notices in conjunction with the site team ensures timely and effective communication.
  • Overseeing work by contractors and ensuring accurate reporting on variations to work orders is essential for efficient project delivery.
  • Assessing and verifying the accuracy of variation claims from subcontractors requires meticulous attention to detail.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing head contract claims in accordance with the contract and relevant legislation (progress claims, variations, EOT claims, Latent Conditions claims) is a critical task.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and ability to stay up-to-date with legislative changes is essential for success.
  • Preparing weekly/monthly cost reports and status reports provides valuable insights into project performance.
  • Ensuring advice is provided to senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions is a key responsibility.
  • Maintaining organized records ensures easy access to important information.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and forecasts with a strong comprehension of associated software is essential for informed decision-making.
Skills & Experience
  • A relevant qualification in law, commerce, construction management, quantity surveying or engineering is highly desirable.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a Contracts Administrator or similar role in construction is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts is essential.
  • A proven track record in managing progress claims and variations is highly valued.
  • Experience with project budgeting, forecasts, and cost reporting is desirable.
  • Familiarity with contract compliance and legislative requirements is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and compliance is required.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills are essential for success.
