Job Overview:

The Payroll and Accounts Officer role is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive manufacturing organisation in Toowoomba. This position involves working with staff, accounts systems, clients, and suppliers, requiring a high level of professionalism, communication skills, and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Liaise with employees regarding employment matters
  • Maintain employee and customer files
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal and reconciliations
  • Post cash receipts daily and prepare daily cashflow report
  • Maintain bank reconciliation within software
  • Process sales orders
  • Post invoices electronically or via mail
  • Process returns and credit notes
  • Follow up on overdue accounts
  • Assist with WorkCover claims
  • Back up reception tasks
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to have meaningful conversations with staff and clients/customers regarding payroll and accounts while maintaining professionalism and empathy. A solid understanding of payroll and general accounts is essential. This part-time role can be done in 25 hours per week, but variations are open to discussion.
