This full-time permanent role offers an exciting chance to specialise in accounting, taxation, and management consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance
- Reviewing and analysing financial documents and records to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Preparing and filing tax returns for clients.
- Identifying potential tax deductions or credits for clients.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and advising clients accordingly.
- Client Communication and Confidentiality
- Interacting with clients to understand their financial goals and needs.
- Providing clear and concise explanations of complex financial matters to clients.
- Demonstrating professionalism and maintaining strict client confidentiality.
- Supervision and Team Collaboration
- Overseeing a client base, which involves managing their financial accounts and providing guidance on financial decisions.
- Supervising junior accountants and bookkeepers, providing feedback and support when needed.
- Collaborating with colleagues and team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective completion of tasks.
- Self-Motivation and Independent Work
- Taking initiative and managing workload independently.
- Conducting research and staying updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
- Planning and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Accounting degree required.
- 5+ years related public practice experience.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent MYOB and QuickBooks skills.
- Experience utilising large ERP accounting systems.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
