About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to clients with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure comprehensive support and care for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Good judgment and common sense, with excellent listening skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including manual handling.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including sleepovers, day support, and in-home evening support.
  • Full driver's license and willingness to drive clients' vehicles.
  • Commitment to working with a care team approach and supporting clients to achieve their goals.
