The Role

This dynamic position requires a strategic thinker who can lead their team to continuously improve service delivery in response to client and stakeholder feedback. You will work collaboratively across the Library, analysing, evaluating and reporting on service delivery to inform future planning.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead the Academic Engagement team in developing and implementing teaching services aligned with the Library's Digital Information Skills Framework.">
  • Work closely with the Academic Engagement Education Services Librarians to enhance digital literacy and study skills for students.">
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver innovative and high-impact library services.">
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Candidate Requirements

  • ">
  • A degree from a higher education institution with substantial relevant experience or any other equivalent combination of knowledge, training and/or experience.">
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, analysing and evaluating delivery of high-quality library information services.">
  • Demonstrated organisational experience to manage and lead a professional team in a dynamic and complex working environment.">
  • Sound understanding of information management issues and challenges facing academic and research libraries.">
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.">
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.">
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.">

UNSW offers a competitive salary, ranging between AU $90,000 to AU $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus access to a plethora of benefits including flexible working arrangements, additional leave over the Christmas period, and progressive HR practices.
