What does the role entail?

  • Engage with customers to understand their specific requirements and guide claims to resolution.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers via phone and email, as well as liaising with their representatives and internal teams - you will be the essential link in the claims process.
  • Alleviate customer stress by managing each stage of the claims process on their behalf, ensuring they are informed throughout.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of claims, exercising autonomy and responsibility in your work.

  • A few years of experience in a Marine Claims Consultant role (with exposure to cargo, carriers, or hull).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities – the capacity to view challenges from different perspectives and seek solutions.
  • A commitment to professional development – either having completed or being willing to pursue a Cert IV in General Insurance (we will support you in this endeavor).
