We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Officer to join our Motor Insurance team at QBE Insurance Group. As a Claims Officer, you will be responsible for handling motor claims in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring that our customers receive a high level of service and that claims are resolved in a timely and fair manner.
Key Responsibilities- Handle motor claims from receipt to settlement, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and that claims are resolved in a timely and fair manner.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders to provide updates on the status of claims and to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with other teams, including underwriting and claims management, to ensure that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct investigations and assessments to determine the validity and extent of claims.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in legislation and regulations that may impact claims handling.
- Previous experience in claims handling, preferably in the motor insurance industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex claims issues.
- Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, including those related to motor insurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
