Process Engineer Opportunity

This is a chance to take on a mid-senior Process Engineer position with a strong technical background in Chemical/Process Engineering.

  • Manage process design through engineering phases from concept/select, FEED through to detailed design and delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Team Members to ensure Projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and requirements.
  • Track single-discipline projects and provide expertise as required.
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals for new and ongoing works.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and assist with QA of other lead engineers' work.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to promote the Process offering and drive business growth.

Requirements include:

  • Process Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years process design experience in Oil & Gas, and/or Future Fuels industries.
  • CPEng or CEng/RPEQ registration.
  • Strong skills in using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, and DNV PHAST software.
  • Sound knowledge of process safety including risk identification and assessment through HAZID/HAZOP, dispersion/radiation analysis, and hazardous area classification.
  • Skills in preparing P&ID's, PFD's, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities flow diagrams, and chemical consumption/effluent summaries.
  • Ability to provide technical support through project lifecycles, ranging from feasibility studies through to commissioning.
  • Ability to be flexible and work autonomously on multiple projects.
  • A confident communicator and team player with the ability to drive projects and clients' success.
  • Skills in prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with HAZOP / LOPA facilitation desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Australian and International Standards.
  • A mix of consulting and operational experience would be advantageous.
