About the Role

The Administrative Officer plays a vital role in the functioning of Mercy Hospital for Women, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the clinical areas across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finalise Mercy Hospital for Women referrals and create first appointments for Obstetrics, Physicians, and Gynaecology patients
  • Register new patients in iPM and index referrals to appropriate specialty
  • Action emails regularly and answer phone calls relating to referrals and appointments
  • Enter patients onto the waitlist and print and send communication to referrers
  • Perform other duties within the Patient Services Department as requested by the Patient Services Leadership Team
Requirements
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to adapt and problem solve
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn and utilise new software systems and programs as required
  • A compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective patient care and management
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
