Senior Payroll Operations Manager

Our client is a well-established customer services business with a strong presence in the Australian market. They cater to large blue-chip telecommunication, government, insurance, and utilities businesses.
The company has experienced solid and maintainable growth due to its constant execution of strategy. This growth has led to several large-scale projects, including the implementation of SuccessFactors, which will be spearheaded by the Group Payroll Manager.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Operations Manager to join our client's Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will lead the payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for approximately 3000 employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the payroll team to deliver high-quality payroll services
- Facilitate coaching and mentoring for the established payroll team
- Review and approve all fortnightly pay runs
- Be actively involved in the implementation of a new payroll system
- Maintain and create payroll operations policies and procedures
- Work closely with the executive team and contribute to strategic process improvement
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams
We are looking for an ideal candidate with a high level of previous experience in a Payroll Manager role. Your fundamental experience in running a large payroll of 1000+ employees is essential. System implementation experience, particularly with SuccessFactors, is highly desirable.
You should possess excellent communication skills, be able to engage effectively with personnel across the business and externally, and have knowledge of applicable legislations. Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and experience working in a dynamic and diverse corporate environment are also required.
