The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of our weekly payroll, including timely preparation and distribution of salaries and wages.
You will work closely with our People and Culture team to ensure that all payroll data is accurately processed, including deductions, timesheets, allowances, and terminations.
Responsibilities
- Interpretation and guidance on payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements, policies, and procedures
- Ensuring payroll data is accurately processed, including deductions, timesheets, allowances, and terminations
- Weekly end-to-end payroll processing
- Participate in system testing & configuration changes/process improvements
- Reconciliation and remittance of weekly deductions
- Prepare reports for month-end and other ad-hoc processes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure employee deductions and third-party vendor payments are processed correctly
About You
- Prior demonstrated experience, processing end-to-end payroll
- Working knowledge of current payroll practices
- The ability to interpret enterprise agreements and relevant legislation
- Experience using a large payroll system – SAP experience preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- A collaborative team player with a strong focus on continuous improvement and growth
