As a skilled family therapist, you will play a vital role in providing intensive home-based therapy to families with children aged 0-17 years old. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of skill, empathy, and dedication.

About the Role

This full-time opportunity involves working closely with a team of highly experienced family therapists to provide home-based therapy to vulnerable families. Your primary goal will be to address the clinical needs of your clients through a range of interventions, assessments, and behaviour change plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive family assessments using a strengths-based approach.
  • Engage families from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and work in partnership with them to achieve their goals and address child safety concerns using evidence-based models.
  • Identify and address child protection issues when required.
  • Develop an understanding of the principles of early intervention and the importance of children's early years on later outcomes.
  • Apply knowledge of children's developmental stages and practical parenting skills.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or similar field.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and on-call to meet the needs of families.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
  • NSW WWCC.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check.
