Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney to join our team. As a patent attorney, you will play a critical role in protecting clients' intellectual property rights and advising on strategies to commercialise innovative technologies.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships with clients.

About the Role:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in various technical fields.
  • Preparing high-quality written and verbal IP advice for clients.
  • Managing IP portfolios and developing strategies tailored to client needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree qualification in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney.
  • Experience managing IP portfolios and developing IP strategies for Australian and international applicants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
