Job Description

Crafting Global IP Strategies

We seek an experienced Global IP Strategist to lead our intellectual property strategy. The ideal candidate will develop, implement and maintain forward-looking global IP strategies aligned with business and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's IP portfolio (patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights) across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct regular IP audits, gap analyses and competitor benchmarking.
  • Advise senior leadership, product, R&D and marketing teams on IP risks and opportunities tied to innovation and expansion.
  • Draft, negotiate and review IP-related clauses in commercial agreements.
  • Educate internal teams on IP best practices, ownership and protection strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience in intellectual property law, with in-house experience preferred.
  • A proven track record in global IP strategy, including both contentious and non-contentious work.
  • A deep understanding of patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright law across major jurisdictions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
