About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, People Planning & Analytics, the Senior Advisor Governance & Assurance role is accountable for the sustainable maintenance and evolution of the Blueprint organizational standards, health rules, and methodologies established by the Blueprint program. This includes elevating the CAT1/CAT3 contractor experience and governance as part of Iron ores efforts to capture ‘Total Human Effort’. In particular, this role will have several responsibilities within the team:
- Audit Assurance: Key contributor to the Blueprint governance framework; manage process of regular HR data cleansing exercises to conform to standards
- Contractor Governance: Management of ~2,000 Australian CAT1 contract working with Procurement including onboarding and remuneration review processes
- Total Human Effort capture
- Improve the contractor experience within Iron Ore
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to analyse workforce trends, demographics, and performance metrics.
- Translate data into actionable insights to inform workforce decisions, succession planning, and talent development strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with HR, business leaders, HR Operations and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of Blueprint initiatives with overall business strategies.
- Communicate workforce insights and recommendations effectively to drive informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Technology Utilization: Stay abreast of technological advancements and leverage tools to enhance workforce planning processes and people analytical capabilities.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Analytics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in workforce planning, talent management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HR metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data-driven insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to self serve data from data platforms (e.g. SQL database, Databricks) will be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas and influence decision-makers at various organizational levels.

Where you will be working
This role offers a Monday to Friday roster based at Rio Tinto’s Perth head office at the Central Park building. Some work will be required at the Operation Centre (Perth Airport) office.
