Our client is seeking to engage a Compliance and Governance Advisor on temporary basis, Full Time Position.

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include assisting with the following activities and projects;
- Compliance Framework and Plans _
- Assist in the finalisation and continuous improvement of significant legislation registers and compliance plans to enable the client to manage its legislative obligations proactively and efficiently.
- Ensure a consistent standard across all compliance plans so that they provide a high-quality tool for Branch Managers and the Executive to manage statutory compliance.
- Compliance Breach Management and Reporting_
- Manage statutory compliance breach reporting and breach register.
- Support divisions in the preparation of statutory compliance reports (if any) that form part of the legislative obligations for that division.
- Compliance Assurance _
- Monitor legislative changes and work with divisions to identify impacts and assist with associated change management.
- Governance_
- Assist the implementation of the governance elements of the Board-approved GRC strategy and related risk and governance business plans to deliver governance objectives.

**Key Capabilities**
- Qualifications and Experience:_
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, risk etc or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience in governance and compliance management and its effective implementation
- Experience working with government, industrial or critical infrastructure organisations
- Technical, Professional and Specialist Skills:_
- An understanding of governance and compliance in operational and commercial environments
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to promote governance and compliance as a value-add activity
- Excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to identify issues and solve problems
- Proven advanced verbal and written communication skills including policy, procedure and report preparation
- Ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels and to operate on a consultative basis
- Developed conceptual and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work without close supervision
