Do you enjoy working with a small team and being challenged, then this job is for you Access Canberra's Licensing and Registrations Branch is seeking a highly motivated Project Officer. Access Canberra is all about giving people easy access to ACT Government regulatory services, payments and information while offering great customer experience. The Licensing and Registrations branch process applications for new licences, registrations and permits on behalf of the Commissioner for Fair Trading.
This position is tied to supporting team engagement for the development of new fit-for-purpose software that allows us to effectively deliver regulatory services. You don't need to be a subject matter expert for the broad variety of services we deliver, but it will be with your project support and expertise that we're able to ensure our business needs are documented.
As a Project Officer in this space, you'll be responsible for keeping our governance material accurate, accessible and contemporaneous for the duration of this project. The various regulatory schemes covered by our teams means you'll be involved at all stages - from initial data assessment and scoping of business requirements, right through to data migration planning and the eventual testing and implementation

Eligibility and Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to possess sound analytical skills, be capable of self-managing multiple tasks and have an understanding of regulatory frameworks. You'll need to be a self-starter who accepts challenges, communicates openly and effectively.
Notes
This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2026. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection method: may be based on application only.
Access Canberra operates under activity-based-work (ABW) arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Flexible working arrangements are also available, meaning officers may use a combination of working from home, designated office locations, and flexible start and finish times.
