Overview
Citywide are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Civil Drainage team. Based out of our North Melbourne depot, you will lead and manage all work operations of the Drainage and Reinstatement functions. The successful candidate will have proven experience in the Civil Drainage industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all contractual objectives are managed efficiently and meet time and budget constraints.
- Manage assigned teams to ensure an efficient and effective service, identify employee issues and build a positive culture.
- Ensure the team is adequately trained to safely and effectively fulfil their role.
- Report to clients on work completion rate, health and safety, environment and quality assurance.
- Assist with technical advice or help with any urgent matters, in case of after hours callout or emergency
- Manage all financial aspects of the assigned work team (including quotes and invoicing).
- Provide input into the development of the annual budget, including the identification of capital requirements.
- Ensure that Time & Attendance for the team is in line with budget
- Ensure all Customer Service Requests are completed/closed within the target resolution date.
- Engage, induct, supervise and regularly audit sub-contractors in the delivery of contract and variation works.
- Ensure completion of the internal audits and reports.
- Review incidents and near misses
- Proactively address potential and actual issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all assets are maintained and utilised in accordance with systems and policies.
- Accountable for the safe operation of the work team and ensuring regular meetings are held
- Any other duties within the scope of the role
Skills and experience
- Civil Engineering background or significant experience in the field (Desirable)
- Strong OH&S awareness and experience leading a strong safety culture
- Experience with task scheduling and planning
- Experience working to a structured schedule and managing budgets
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers
- Experience in understanding, operating within, and reporting on budgets
- Proven track record in delivering results through the leadership of others
- Experience in leading and developing a team, including managing employee issues
- Full Victorian Drivers Licence (MR Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office packages and computer literacy
- Working with Children Check
