About the position
Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, the Project Officer will manage the administration of a university wide project to develop and publish inherent requirements for all undergraduate courses and implement new processes and tools for LAPs. This project is a key deliverable of the Universal Design and Inclusion Action Plan (UDIAP) that provides a strategic framework to guide La Trobe’s efforts in fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and enabling university for students, staff, and partners.
The Project Officer is responsible for project documentation, including tools and communications support to ensure robust stakeholder engagement and workplan delivery. The role supports all activities to meet agreed timelines and report on progress and project completion against established objectives, milestones and deadlines.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
- Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
