TfA’s head office is located in Brisbane with branches in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Melbourne office in Docklands. Collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, town planners, architects, designers, and project managers, you will gain invaluable exposure to conceptual and detailed engineering work across the entire project life-cycle.

The Role:

- Conceptual and detailed design of LV electrical equipment and distribution systems, process instrumentation and industrial control systems
- Performing engineering calculations such as maximum demand, protection discrimination, cable sizing and network modelling
- Project Engineering functions such as the preparation of project documentation including project specifications, scope of works documents and functional descriptions
- Liaison with other discipline engineers to ensure that our designs are fully integrated and compliant with client and project specific requirements
- Supporting Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Liaison and negotiation with clients, authorities, suppliers and sub-consultants as required
- 2D drafting of electrical drawings such as single line diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment layouts and cable schedules

Skills & Experience:

- Be in the final year of a bachelor degree or have obtained a bachelor degree qualification in electrical engineering (degree to be recognised by Engineers Australia) with a maximum of 3 years post graduate experience
- Have excellent communication skills in English
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of technical aptitude and writing skills
- Can work both independently and in a team
- Have a strong willingness to learn
- Be able to demonstrate excellent work ethic with an attention to detail and desire to produce high quality deliverables
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
