JBI at the University of Adelaide is seeking a qualified candidate for a fixed-term, full-time position available for 12 months as a Research Fellow. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global leadership in evidence-based healthcare.

An exciting opportunity to join JBI, an internationally renowned evidence-based healthcare organisation, and actively contribute to and advance the field of evidence-based healthcare for clinical practice within a speciality field area.

Positioned within the JBI EBP Database Editorial Office the role requires the candidate to work within a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate and driven to improve and provide evidence-based healthcare resources to assist healthcare professionals in their practice.

The successful candidate must be able to lead independently within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with national and international experts and other stakeholders within their specialty to synthesise research, develop evidence-based resources and lead research that assists with closing the evidence-to-practice gap.

To be successful you will need

Level A:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area, and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Clinical knowledge and experience within a relevant field of healthcare practice (e.g. aged care, mental health, critical care, allied health professions).
- Demonstrated knowledge, skill and experience in assessing the quality of research and scientific/ medical writing.
- Ability to undertake collaborative research relevant to evidence-based health care.
- High level interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to contribute to a diverse and collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing learning.

Level B:

- PhD in the discipline or have equivalent qualifications or research experience.
- Experience and interest in advancing evidence-based healthcare practice in a relevant field.
- Evidence of strong contribution to publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of successful proposal submissions to external funding bodies, and overseeing and managing grants received.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across disciplines and collaborate with industry.
- Experience in liaising and promoting research links with external bodies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively consult, mentor or supervise students.
- Proven ability to perform administrative functions primarily connected with the area of research.
