Flinders University’s College of Science and Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative academic to join our team as an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and support curriculum development, while contributing to research in power systems and renewable energy to supports Australia’s transition to a sustainable energy future.

As an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, you will:

- Deliver and evaluate teaching materials and strategies across electrical and electronic engineering topics.

- Support research and evaluation activities in power systems and renewable energy.

- Contribute to curriculum development, topic coordination, and student engagement initiatives.

This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available.

About You:

You are a motivated and collaborative academic with experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, a passion for teaching and mentoring, and a developing research profile in electrical power systems and renewable energy (with expertise in electrical machines). You are committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for students and contributing to impactful research that supports the transition to sustainable energy systems. You thrive in a collegial and multi‑disciplinary environment, working closely with students, staff, and industry partners to achieve shared goals.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- A minimum of four years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in an area of electrical and electronic engineering (Level A) or completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in an area of electrical and electronic engineering (Level B)

- Evidence of successful teaching, training, mentoring, or supervision of students to maximise their learning outcomes.

- Demonstrated research and/or evaluation experience in electrical and electronic engineering, with a focus on power systems and renewable energy.

- An understanding of curriculum review processes and accreditation requirements within higher education.
