Associate / Assoc Director - Civil Engineering

Location: Sydney, NSW – Urban Development | Infrastructure | Leadership – Attractive salary package + benefits

We’re partnering with a well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across NSW, and nationally, and overseas offices. With an expanding pipeline of high-profile urban, public domain, and commercial civil infrastructure projects, they’re now looking to appoint an Associate or Associate Director - Civil Engineering to join their growing Sydney team.

This role suits an experienced civil engineer with a similar level/background to take on an important leadership position – overseeing project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and playing an active role in client engagement and business development.

What you’ll be doing:

- Providing strategic and technical leadership across a portfolio of urban and civil infrastructure projects

- Overseeing the delivery of high-quality civil designs, documentation, reports, and specifications

- Working collaboratively with developers, architects, federal government and local councils, and multidisciplinary consultants

- Driving innovative, practical engineering solutions to complex design challenges

- Managing resources, tracking budgets and project profitability

- Leading and mentoring a team of civil engineers and designers

- Supporting client relationships and assisting with project bids and proposals

What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Chartered status)

- 8+ years’ experience across urban and/or commercial civil infrastructure projects in Australia

- Proven leadership in delivering medium to large-scale civil projects (government, commercial or mixed-use)

- Strong technical understanding of local Authority requirements and relevant Australian standards

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and natural leadership capability
