**About the Role**
We’re looking to fill one ongoing and one temporary position until 12 months (from start date) within the Cabinet Team.
As our new **Associate Director, Governance**, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of corporate governance initiatives to mitigate risks and strengthen governance processes. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with best practices and public sector policies while providing expert advice, reporting, and strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders. Your work will support high-quality decision-making and drive continuous improvement in governance across the department and cluster agencies.

- Expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance within the public sector
- Extensive experience in managing complex governance projects and providing high-level strategic advice
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in policy development, audit and risk processes, and driving governance improvements
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.

**Salary**: Clerk Grade 11/12. Package includes base salary ($145,378 - $168,130) plus superannuation and leave loading.
