Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

About the School
Denison College of Secondary Education Bathurst High Campus is a modern school building with a rich history, serving a dynamic and diverse regional community. The campus hosts 904 students, including 162 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, 8% NESB students and 71 support students, and operates a Trade Training Centre and aquatic facilities for innovative learning experiences.
Qualified Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, and significant mental health needs, with demonstrated excellence in individualized classroom practice.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching practice with the ability to design, implement and evaluate quality data‑driven Individual Education Plans that promote student engagement and improve academic performance.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, proactively and professionally with colleagues, parents and carers, SLSO staff, external support agencies and the wider community to achieve positive student outcomes.
- Capacity to develop effective and relevant transition plans focused on improved outcomes for students.
- Proven classroom management expertise and wellbeing practices, with a commitment to building the capacity of colleagues to promote improved outcomes for students with additional needs.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is an essential requirement. Candidates without a full approval must commence the application process with the NSW Department of Education simultaneously with this application.

The successful applicant will be appointed to Denison College of Secondary Education and initially based at the Bathurst Campus.
