Wilder Fox has been appointed by one of Sydney's leading builder specialising in high-end workplace and commercial fitout projects across Sydney’s CBD. Their expertise lies in transforming office spaces into innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments. Role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their expanding team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving their growth in the workplace and commercial fitout sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, an established network of institutional real estate relationships, and a proven track record in securing and managing high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the workplace and commercial fitout sector. Develop and execute strategies to expand our client base and increase market share.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional real estate players, property managers, and other stakeholders to generate new leads and business opportunities.
- Sales & Negotiation: Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation. Present proposals and manage tender submissions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Utilise this knowledge to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our project management and design teams to ensure client needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Facilitate smooth transitions from sales to project execution.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Sales Background: Demonstrated experience in sales within the commercial construction or fitout industry, with a strong understanding of the sales cycle and client acquisition.
- Institutional Real Estate Relationships: Proven network and relationships with institutional real estate professionals, property managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of workplace and commercial fitout trends, project requirements, and market dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas, negotiate contracts, and build rapport with clients.
- Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Construction Management, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
