About the role:

As the Bank Product Governance Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening the Division’s risk and governance capabilities. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining frameworks that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting both the organisation and our members.

This role also contributes to the delivery of a member-first strategy by implementing effective and efficient operational plans, processes, and procedures that drive performance and support strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Governance and Compliance Frameworks, develop and maintain RACQ Bank’s product governance frameworks, policies, and reporting processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Drive Strategic Risk and Regulatory Advice, provide expert guidance on current and emerging regulatory frameworks, supporting risk identification, monitoring, and management across the business.
- Foster Operational Excellence and Efficiency, champion continuous improvement, streamline divisional processes, and drive cost-effective operations that enhance member engagement and business performance
- Cultivate Leadership and Collaboration, model RACQ’s values through effective people leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Ensure Safe, Compliant Team Operations, supervise team performance, training, and compliance obligations, ensuring safe work practices, risk controls, and prompt remediation of any breaches.

About you

- Tertiary Qualification, minimum of a university degree in a relevant field such as banking, finance, or business
- Industry Experience, 5–7 years of experience in banking or financial services, with broad exposure to operational and strategic environments.
- Commercial Acumen, proven ability to navigate complex settings and translate insights into clear, commercially sound decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement, strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence and deliver outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Regulatory & Analytical Expertise, deep understanding of relevant regulations, paired with advanced problem-solving and critical analysis capabilities.
