**About the Role**
A newly created opportunity exists for a Head of Risk Governance and Reporting, to join BOQ’s Group Risk team

In the role you will be responsible for the development, oversight and leadership of all aspect of the Governance and Reporting to the Executive Risk Committee, and Risk submissions for the Board/Board Risk Committee.

This includes leading a team to produce and govern information being reported to the Group Risk Divisional Risk Committee, Executive Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee. This is a critical role in ensuring effective governance and reporting for the Division. This role requires the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to ensure the timely and accurate management and finalisation of agendas, papers, and actions for these committees.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate capture, management and finalisation of agendas, minutes, actions for the Executive Risk Committee, as well as the facilitation of critical reporting and formalisation of agendas for the Board Risk Committee and relevant sub-committees. Additionally, the role must have a broad understanding of risk and sound risk management practices to be able to write, edit and guide executive and board reporting for the division.

Other key aspects include identifying and implementing process improvements that ensure a continual uplift in quality of reporting, submissions, and governance discussion across the divisional and executive risk committees. As well as continual development and refinement of the 2nd line Group Chief Risk Officers Report, with an accountability for uplifting insights, process improvements and automation to ensure data is collected from trusted sources in a timely manner, with appropriate stakeholder inputs and approval.

You will also ensure a strong and collaborative engagement with the Group’s Company Secretary, that will enable the timely review and provision of Board/Board Risk Committee, agenda items, actions, papers and reports (as required).

**About you**

Naturally you will have extensive experience in a similar Governance and Risk Reporting role and knowledge in all aspects of financial and non-financial risk.

It would be advantageous to have a sound knowledge of general banking operations and lending, as well as the commercial market and competitors’ products.
