
Coordinator – Children’s Contact Services

Centacare Geraldton Limited t/as Centacare Family Services is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Coordinator for our Children’s Contact Service, located in Geraldton Western Australia. This role is suited to experienced professionals with a passion for supporting children and families through challenging transitions and complex circumstances.
The Children’s Contact Service (CCS) provides vital support for families experiencing conflict or difficulties following separation. Our service facilitates supervised contact and changeover arrangements, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children during times of family change.
This is a full-time opportunity, with working hours from Monday to Friday, and the possibility of occasional self-rostered 3-hour weekend shifts (paid at penalty rates). The remuneration package is based on the SCHCADS Award 2010, reflecting your skills and experience, and includes:
• Level 5.1 remuneration at $51 per hour (est $100,776 annually), plus applicable penalty rates, superannuation, and attractive salary sacrifice options

Selection Criteria: Qualifications
• Formal qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Child Services, Human Services, or a related discipline is highly regarded
• Minimum of 3 years’ management experience within children’s services or community services
Selection Criteria: Skills & Experience
• Experience in client intake and risk screening, ideally within a case management context
• Proven ability to work with children and families facing conflict, trauma, or high-stress situations
• Capacity to maintain impartiality and neutrality in facilitating sensitive family interactions
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare evidence-based reports for various stakeholders
• Sound knowledge of family law, post-separation conflict, and family/domestic violence issues, with practical application in service delivery
• Commitment to Centacare’s philosophy and values, contributing positively to an inclusive team environment
• Demonstrated experience in staff management, supervision, and professional development, including feedback and support across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and maintain high standards under pressure
• Proficiency with technology and case management systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and client confidentiality
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with families, colleagues, and external agencies from diverse backgrounds

Compliance Requirements
