What you'll be doing

  • YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN PERMANENT RESIDENT OR CITIZEN TO APPLY
  • Providing personalised support and assistance to families, individuals and children with disabilities or complex needs
  • Helping clients access community services and resources to promote independence and improve quality of life
  • Coordinating and facilitating group activities and programs to encourage social inclusion
  • Maintaining detailed client records and reporting on progress to ensure high-quality care
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
  • Advocating for clients' rights and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
  • Assist the work of Social Workers and welfare workers by providing services and support to families

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in community services, social work, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar family support or disability support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a solution-focused approach
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
