About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at our StarTrack facility on Boud Ave, Perth Airport. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.

This is a full time permanent opportunity working in our Day Shift team from 6.30am to 2.36pm Monday to Friday with flexibility for overtime on occasions. The rate of pay is $33.03/hr + 12% super along with a $50/week district allowance inclusive of super. We pay weekly and leave loading for annual leave.

Responsibilities:

- Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
- Performing some admin tasks and use of software - experience is essential
- Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
- Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
- Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper, electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.

Requirements:

- You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job.
- You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive.
- You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
- If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
