**About the opportunity**

We’re looking for a **Freight Handler** to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Perth Airport. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.

For all night owls, this is a night shift opportunity from 11pm-6.36am Sun-Thurs (classed as Mon-Fri) and comes with a 30% penalty rate on top of the base rate. With a base of $30.54/hr + 12% super and an added bonus of a $50/week location allowance, this is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a physically energetic position with an organisation you can grow with. Occasional overtime is essential in this role however does see over time penalties applied.

**You’ll be**
- Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service
- Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road
- Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse
- Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.

**About you**
- You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly - we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job
- You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive
- You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected
- You’re also an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse
- You'll have had previous night shift experience and be used to a night shift life balance
