- Rates are competitive and negotiable based on experience.
- Hybrid work model of 3 days in the office.
- Unique opportunity to work in an M&A environment.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Contract Specialist to join a dynamic project team on a 6-month day rate contract. The Contract Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the organisation’s merger and acquisition (M&A) activities by managing, reviewing, and coordinating all contractual and compliance-related aspects of due diligence, transaction execution, and post-merger integration.

You’ll be working with a respected not-for-profit organisation based in Perth, WA (close to Perth Airport), with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office.

This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role, ideally suited to someone who is confident working autonomously and can hit the ground running. The role is available immediately. Rates are competitive and negotiable based on experience.

Aspects of the role will include

- Reviewing and analysing existing supplier service agreements to assess risks, obligations, and the ability to assign or novate such agreements.

- Developing and maintaining contract registers with summary of key terms during the due diligence phase.

- Coordinating input from internal stakeholders (legal, procurement, finance, and operations) to assess contractual impact and alignment with organisational policy.

- Developing and executing transition plans for novation, termination, or consolidation of supplier contracts.

- Drafting and negotiating new contracts with suppliers, utilising standard agreements.

- Supporting governance reporting by providing summaries of key risks, dependencies, and decision points related to contractual commitment.

- Working collaboratively with project leads, legal counsel, procurement, finance, and executive stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.

- Contributing to M&A project governance documentation, reporting, and status updates.

Your Background

You’re someone who thrives in a project environment and brings a structured, detail-oriented mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:

- Knowledge of the not for profit sector (but not a must).

- Demonstrated experience in contract management, commercial law, or procurement within a not-for-profit, public sector, or regulated industry.

- Experience supporting M&A or organisational integration projects.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills with attention to detail.

- The ability to independently manage workloads and stakeholder expectations.

- Experience with TechOne is a plus.

What’s on Offer

- 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

- Day rate negotiable depending on experience.

- Immediate start.

- Hybrid working model: 3 days in-office (East Perth area).

- Work on a high-impact project that directly supports community outcomes.

- Join a collaborative and values-driven organisation during a period of exciting transformation.
