GHD’s **Delivery Phase Services **(DPS) group is a new, virtual region that is doing just that and will be partnering closely with clients to deliver innovative and creative solutions. We are agile, fast moving and growing rapidly.

We are seeking an experienced **Contracts & Procurement Specialist **to become a key part of the DPS Commercial team. You will deliver consistent Contract and Procurement support to the broader DPS team to ensure we are able to deliver performance and outcomes on DPS projects.

This role is an initial 12-month fixed term contract position.

**Key accountabilities will include**:

- Development of project specific procurement and contracting strategy documents and management plans
- Coordinating the compilation of tender documentation, including market sounding and expressions of interest, and managing the tender process through to conformance of contract documents
- Contract negotiation and conformance to align with negotiated outcomes
- Review and preparation of responses to payment claims, variations and extension of time claims and associated communications.
- Proactive interaction with other teams within the DPS and broader GHD group.
- Support the Project teams to deliver the contractual performance of the contract during execution of DPS projects.
- Provision of sound and timely guidance and advice

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Formal qualifications in a relevant engineering or science discipline (preferred)
- Experience as a Contracts & procurement Specialist on major mining or future energy projects.
- Ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities.
- Proactive thinker who can anticipate contractual risk and deliver innovative solutions.
- Strong communicator and influencer
- A collaborator who works well nationally and brings people together for the best collective outcomes.
