The Team

Toowoomba Regional Council’s Corporate Accounting team isdriven by integrity and excellence and is responsible for providingprofessional accounting services to Council.

About the position

Our team is seeking a Coordinator Asset Accounting, who will bean integral part of the financial reporting process at Council. This is an exciting opportunity to hone your financial accountingskills in a values based team within local government.

- This is a permanent full-time position based in theToowoomba CBD.
- The annual salary range for this position is $102,286.02 -$109,044.83 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loadingand up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position

- Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field from arecognised University with substantial relevant experience, ora combination of experience, qualification and competence whichenables the incumbent to perform all duties of theposition.
- Specialist knowledge of asset accounting, ideally in alocal government environment, is highly desirable.
- CA or CPA qualifications, or actively enrolled in theprogram is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of legislation, accountingstandards, regulations and guidelines in financialaccounting.
- Excellent organisational skills in your own workload, andthat of the team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and numeracyskills.
- Commitment to teamwork.
