About the position
The Coordinator of BuildingServices provides strategic leadership and technical support toensure efficient and effective maintenance, repair, and operationof all Property Services related infrastructure and systems. Therole oversees the Supervisors responsible for the Carpentry,Bricklaying, Painting, and Plumbing teams within the PropertyServices Trade Services sections.
Reporting to the Principal PropertyOperations, the Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management of daily activities and work assignments being organisedby their Supervisors, and ensuring compliance with safety andregulatory standards across trades. The Coordinator alsofacilitates collaboration between various teams, includingElectrical Services, Facility Management, Signwriting, Fire Safetyand Emergency Management and Asset Security to deliver high-qualityservices on diverse projects.
A key focus of this role isfostering a culture of excellence, safety, and teamwork within theBuilding Services teams, promoting cost-effective practices, andensuring that all work meets community expectations and departmentstandards.
This position will work underlimited direction.
About Property Services
Within the Environment andCommunity Services Group, the Property Services Branch isresponsible for a vast array of diverse assets from iconic HeritageListed assets such as the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba City Hall,through to libraries, aquatic centres, depots, administration andother key community buildings, work in parks on parksinfrastructure, as well as contributing to the maintenance of keyroad infrastructure such as traffic lights and street lighting.Spanning almost 13,000km2, the team works diligently to guaranteeessential community services are maintained in every corner of theregion.
