Overview
This is more than just an Executive Assistant role — it’s an opportunity to work side-by-side with an entrepreneurial Managing Director and Founder at the helm of a rapidly growing business in the marketing and events space. If you’re looking for a role where your impact is tangible and every day brings new challenges, this is it. The Managing Director is a visionary and big dreamer with an extremely busy schedule. To succeed, you’ll need to be the person who creates structure, brings clarity, and ensures projects, events, and priorities are kept firmly on track. You’ll be trusted to protect his time and maximise his output, enabling the business to continue its exciting trajectory of growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support to the Managing Director, including calendar, inbox, and travel management.
- Coordinate workshops, events, and related logistics.
- Oversee team travel arrangements and assist with event setup.
- Maintain systems, dashboards, and key reports to ensure smooth operations.
- Support internal projects and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with onboarding and coordination of new team members.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for recurring tasks.
- Anticipate the needs of the Managing Director and proactively address potential issues.
- Provide flexible support across both business and personal requirements when needed.
Ideal Candidate
- A proven hardworking overachiever, ideally demonstrated through achievements outside of work (e.g., competitive sport or similar pursuits).
- Strong background in event coordination or high-pressure environments (hospitality, corporate events, entertainment, etc.).
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple urgent priorities at once.
- Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure when plans or directions change.
- A detail-driven problem solver who takes pride in ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
