The Role

This is an exceptional opportunityfor an energetic, visionary leader to guide the City’s Parksand Environment portfolio. Reporting directly to the DirectorInfrastructure and Assets, you will set the direction forhigh-performing teams in Parks and Gardens, Waste Management, andEnvironmental Sustainability.

Your influence will extend beyondday-to-day operations – you will drive innovation, serviceexcellence, and environmental leadership, ensuring that the Citycontinues to meet the evolving expectations of our community whiledelivering on our ambitious strategic goals.

As a senior leader, you will workclosely with the City’s Executive to shape strategy, improveservices, and lead the transformation needed to prepare the Cityfor the future.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and empower the Environment Manager and Parksand Gardens Manager to deliver operational excellence.

- Drive delivery of service plans across Parks and Gardens,Waste Management, and Environmental Sustainability.

- Build the capability and capacity of teams and individualsto foster a high-performance culture.

- Ensure effective systems and processes are in place to meetcurrent and future demands.

- Build strong and collaborative relationships with internaland external stakeholders.

- Provide expert technical and strategic advice on all Parksand Environment matters.

- Champion innovation in sustainability, environmentalmanagement, and contemporary landscaping practices.

About You

You will bring:

- A tertiary qualification in environmental science,engineering, or management.

- A proven track record as a transformational leader whoinspires teams and delivers results.

- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagementskills.

- A passion for innovation, sustainability, and deliveringservices that make a lasting difference to the community.
