Lead the Water Operations team managing Tasmania's freshwater systems, overseeing compliance, and building strong partnerships across the industry.
About the role
The role is central to ensuring the responsible use, allocation and protection of Tasmania’s freshwater systems. The Team Leader will:
- Lead and manage the Water Operations and Compliance team and its program of works.
- Oversee compliance activities related to water allocation, water use, dam operations and other water management activities in the State.
- Foster a safe, consultative, and high performing team culture.
- Build strong relationships across government, industry and community sectors.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in civil engineering, natural resource management, agriculture or water management, or equivalent level, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in regulation or compliance sectors or water resource management.
- Certificate in Government Investigations IV or equivalent or ability to attain.
- Ability to hold and maintain mandatory training requirements for the position including a Certificate in First Aid and competence in 4-wheel drive operation.
