Overview

Credit Assurance Analyst

As the Credit Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for working with the Manager CreditRisk to deliver and strengthen our second line credit assurance and oversight plan. You will build strong relationships with first-line risk-takers, leveraging your expertise to help identify ways to improve credit practices and optimise our credit policies in line with our risk appetite.

This position is open to candidates located in Brisbane, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

Responsibilities

- Supporting the delivery and review of our Credit Assurance Plan across the credit life cycle. Executing assurance activities in line with the plan on time and to a high standard to support our reputation as credit experts.

- Working with the Manager Credit Risk to find innovative and cost-effective ways to deliver assurance and recommending adjustments to the plan as appropriate.

- Effectively communicating the results to a range of stakeholders including front line lenders, managers, and the credit-risk team.

- Ensuring appropriate remedial action is agreed and completed, which may include improved training, policy changes or system enhancements.

- Credit policy review, challenge and governance.

- Provide professional and timely governance and professional secretariat support to the Chair of the Credit Risk Committee.

Do things differently with us

Qualifications

- At least 3 years’ experience in a credit-related role within the financial services industry.

- Expertise across multiple stages in the credit life cycle and multiple credit products (including complex lending scenarios and application of a delegated credit authority).

- Experience in coaching and training across a range of levels.

- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in respect of credit-related activities, in particular responsible lending.

- Experience in enterprise risk management platforms.

- Experience with Excel, SAS, PowerBI is highly desirable.
