This long-established not-for-profit has been supporting Queensland communities for over 90 years. With services across aged care, disability, mental health, youth, and family support, the organisation is built on a strong tradition of compassion, connection, and empowerment. Each year, their dedicated teams support over 6,000 people across 25+ sites, helping individuals live with dignity, independence, and choice.
About the Role
This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to shape how the organisation grows its NDIS client base and connects with the local community.
As the NDIS Client Engagement & Community Advisor, you’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable link between clients, referrers, and service teams. You’ll connect with individuals looking to access NDIS supports, guide them through the process, and help ensure a smooth transition into services.
This role blends customer service, community engagement, and relationship-building – perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and purpose.
You’ll
- Engage potential NDIS clients: Build relationships, explain services clearly, and guide people through initial steps to access support.
- Be active in the community: Represent the organisation at events, information stalls, and forums.
- Develop referrer networks: Strengthen partnerships with plan managers, hospitals, LACs, and community groups.
- Coordinate client follow-ups: Provide timely responses, simple quotes, and warm handovers to service teams.
- Track progress: Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key outcomes.
About You
You’re approachable, proactive, and genuinely passionate about helping people access the care and support they deserve. Whether you come from NDIS coordination, customer service, community engagement, or business development, you’re skilled at building trust and explaining information clearly.
You’ll bring
- Experience in NDIS, community services, or customer relationship roles.
- Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills.
- Confidence engaging with a wide range of people and organisations.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
- Familiarity with NDIS frameworks and client engagement processes.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
