We are in the market for an experienced and qualified Financial Analyst – Trainer. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. As a Financial Analyst - Trainer, you’ll deliver expert financial advice, develop and maintain financial models, and ensure the integrity of the City’s financial systems. You’ll create and deliver training guides and courses, supporting employees in using financial and procurement systems, and play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

You’ll consult with employees to identify business needs, lead business process reviews, and provide operational training and support for implemented systems. This role also involves mentoring the Finance team, driving a culture of excellence, and ensuring compliance with City policies and safety requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Undergraduate qualification in Accounting or Commerce

- Membership of CPA or CA ANZ or equivalent

- 3 years leadership and accounting experience in a medium/large organisation

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)

- Accounting standards interpretation & implementation

- Report writing & presentation skills

- Training & development skills

- LG legislation & regulation knowledge

- Financial modelling skills

- Planning & organisation skills

- Communication/interpersonal skills

- Business acumen

- Analytical & problem-solving skills
