Amazon's Fulfillment Network is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team in Australia.

This role offers a unique opportunity to partner closely with our FC Leaders and Regional/Network leaders, shaping the future of our growing fulfillment network. As the Senior Finance Analyst, you'll be the crucial link between data and strategy, uncovering hidden insights that will propel our Australian operations to new heights.

Your analytical prowess will be put to the test as you delve into a diverse array of data sources, effortlessly manipulating and transforming them into visually compelling reports that inform key stakeholders across Finance, Business, and Operations. Leveraging your exceptional SQL skills and BI expertise, you'll build interactive dashboards and tailored visualizations that bring complex financial metrics to life.

Prepare to embark on a thrilling journey, where no two days are alike. You'll tackle ad-hoc analyses, labor planning, and KPI reporting, all while collaborating with a cross-functional powerhouse of experts from our Australian FC Finance, ACEs, Maintenance, IT, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Uncovering Insights, Driving Optimization: Delve deep into financial data and operational metrics, meticulously analyzing trends, risks, and opportunities across individual Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and our broader fulfillment network.
- Mastering Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and forecasts to empower strategic decision-making.
- Collaborative Financial Reporting and Analysis: Partner closely with FC Controllers and Operations leaders, providing them with insightful financial reports, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations that inform their decision-making.
- Shaping Network-Level Strategy: Lend your financial acumen to network-level strategic planning, assessing the financial implications of network design, capacity changes, and other operational initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration for Innovation: Participate in dynamic, cross-functional teams, evaluating the financial impact of new processes, technologies, or business models for our FC operations.
- Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance our financial reporting, visibility, and decision support capabilities.

About the Team

Our Team Operates out of Sydney and Melbourne Corporate Office and we travel to the sites we support when required. Amazon offers employees a competitive remuneration package, including participation in the company stock plan as applicable.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience working with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
