Role Overview
We are seeking Cyber Security Specialists to join our growing team supporting Defence and government clients. This role is broad and can cover multiple aspects of cyber operations depending on project needs, including system administration, patching, monitoring, compliance, networking, and firewall management. You will work within high-performing teams to deliver secure, resilient, and mission-critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security administration across Windows, Linux, and network environments.
- Implement and manage patching, hardening, and configuration baselines.
- Monitor and analyse security events using SIEM and log management tools.
- Support incident response activities and contribute to threat detection and remediation.
- Configure and maintain security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Contribute to compliance activities aligned with ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001, and Essential Eight.
- Assist in risk assessments, audits, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver secure solutions.
Salary: 110-160k (experience Dependent)

Selection Criteria
Applicants should clearly demonstrate the following in their application:
- Technical Experience – Knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: system administration (Windows/Linux), patching and hardening, security monitoring, firewalls, network security, or incident response.
- Security Frameworks – Familiarity with cyber security standards and compliance requirements, ideally including the Australian Government ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001, or the ACSC Essential Eight.
- Problem-Solving and Analysis – Demonstrated ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical or security issues.
- Communication and Teamwork – Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Clearance and Eligibility – Australian Citizenship with a current security clearance (Baseline minimum, NV1 or higher strongly preferred).
