We're currently working with a government department that is searching for a Cyber Security Specialist within the the Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Team which is building its capability with the aim to elevate its maturity. This role will assist significantly with that venture by assisting to establish the capability to provide assurance to senior leadership through the effective assessment and reporting of cyber security compliance within the Agency.

The Cyber Security Compliance Officer is responsible for the assessment of and reporting on the compliance of personnel, ICT systems, processes, and frameworks within a cyber security context. They will be part of a small team to work with internal and external stakeholders to establish and implement the Agency's cyber security compliance capability
- Providing leadership
- Influencing key stakeholders
- Driving appropriate behaviour and culture changes
- Building awareness through effective communication
- Leading the strengthening of cyber security knowledge and capability across the workforce and their practices.

**Your Skills and Experience**:
We expect you have two or more years of experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance with extensive experience and knowledge of relevant government security frameworks as well as:

- Knowledge and experience with enterprise information and cyber security processes, concepts, and best practice with an exposure to government cloud models.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- ICT risk and compliance experience.
- CISSP/CISM or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in effective reporting to executive management.
- Demonstrated experience in adaptive leadership and collaboration and in challenging change environments.
