Find out more and .**Your Opportunity**We are seeking a committed and experienced Housing Officer to join our team and make a tangible impact through the delivery of high-quality tenancy management services.As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive tenancy management services to tenants across each housing program. This includes managing tenancies end-to-end, maintaining accurate records, and supporting our tenants to sustain long-term housing outcomes. You will also play a key role in building strong relationships with tenants, service providers, and internal teams to support holistic and tenant-focused outcomes.**Your key responsibilities will be to:*** Coordinate arrangements to lease vacant properties quickly, appropriately and effectively* Ensure all tenancy documentation is maintained in line with organisational and regulatory requirements* Educate tenants on their rights and responsibilities, promoting positive tenancy outcomes* Conduct routine, and exit and entry property inspections as required and completing associated condition reports* Manage rental and non-rental arrears by adopting an early intervention approach* Attend tribunal hearings where necessary to address lease agreement breaches* Respond to tenant feedback, including complaints, constructively and promptly to support continuous service improvement* Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders* Actively contribute to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support as required**Requirements for Success*** Previously demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups* Social and Affordable housing experience desirable* Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act would be viewed favourably* Strong software skills including Microsoft Office products and ability to learn Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Drivers’ LicenceBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and WWCC.**Your benefits*** Rewarding work – every day you know you’re making a real difference* Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via* Free external, confidential counselling and access to* Volunteering opportunities**Our culture**Our innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.
