About the Role:
As a Housing Officer, you'll be an important part of a regional team managing public housing tenants. Your focus will be to support and assist customers/tenants by providing tenancy management services, information, referrals and advocacy.

What You'll Do:
- Work with customers who have experienced significant life challenges or trauma
- Provide housing solutions for vulnerable people experiencing a range of social and economic hardship
- Conduct home visits for vulnerable and complex tenants
- Managing tenancy related debt matters
- Resolving disputes and concerns involving public housing tenancies
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Experience in delivering community or human services
- Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive assessments with care and empathy
- Strong skills in managing competing demands and prioritising your workload
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions independently
- Proficient in using digital technology and customer information systems to deliver efficient service
- A good understanding of social and housing challenges faced by underrepresented groups, including Aboriginal people and those living with disabilities
- Qualifications in Community Service, Social Science or Human Services are a plus but not essential

Requirements:
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
- DHS Working with Children Check (renewed every 5 years).
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence which must be maintained.
- The incumbent in the role is a mandated notifier of child abuse under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017.
