As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, integrity and transparency by contributing to: - Financial Management & Reporting: Supporting financial planning, budgeting, analysis, and reporting for operational activities, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards. You will assist in managing month‑end and year‑end processes, statutory reporting and cash flow forecasting. - Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Providing expert financial and accounting advice to senior management, project managers and external stakeholders (such as the Department of Health). You will help develop solutions to complex financial issues and contribute to informed, strategic decision‑making. - Governance, Compliance & Improvement: Supporting the maintenance of strong financial controls, overseeing aspects of asset management and ensuring compliance with key regulations (including the FMA and Australian Accounting Standards). You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial systems, processes and policies. What we’re looking for: - Extensive experience in the development, delivery and maintenance of a broad range of financial services, including analysis, financial management and reporting. - Highly developed conceptual, analytical and research skills with the demonstrated ability to provide strategic and innovative thinking in problem solving. - Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to relate effectively with others at all levels. - Strong time management skills with the proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes while actively seeking to demonstrate a "Think Customer First" culture. - Considerable working knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the Financial Management Act, Treasurer's instructions and regulations, State Supply Commission guidelines and other associated legislative requirements.
