Suitable applicants from this process will be placed in a pool from which temporary and/or permanent appointments may be made. The pool will operate for a period of 24 months from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
There is currently one fixed term position available for immediate filling, till October 2026, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

The Cyber Security Unit within the Office of Digital Government leads, coordinates and supports whole-of-government cyber security efforts to protect the WA Government’s information, assets, and service delivery from cyber threats.
About the Role
If you are a great writer and would like to hone your strategic policy development skills in an exciting, high-impact, whole-of-government policy area, this role is for you. This role performs a key function in the Strategy and Policy Division for the Office of Digital Government/'s Cyber Security Unit. It would be suited for people who enjoy development of strategic policy and advice, engagement and project management. A person in this role:
- Prepares evidence-based research and in-depth analysis to support development of policy and strategy to support whole-of-government cyber security efforts
- Prepares documents including policies, tools, guidelines, reports, publications, correspondence, briefing notes and submissions (including executive and ministerial briefings and Cabinet submissions) and other information as required
- Supports the development and coordination of project plans for a variety of projects, and helps deliver projects on time
- Contributes to the establishment and maintenance of partnerships to develop and socialise cyber security initiatives
