One of our Key Government Client is looking for the Project officer to provide day to day project support to the ICT Program Manager for ongoing projects, including operational workings within the project system. This position engages with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to achieve good project management. You will be responsible to coordinate and monitor daily activities and expenditure of the project team.

One of our Key Government Client is looking for the Project officer to provide day to day project support to the ICT Program Manager for ongoing projects, including operational workings within the project system.

This position engages with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to achieve good project management. You will be responsible to coordinate and monitor daily activities and expenditure of the project team.

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Assist with the scheduling and activity planning, as well as track the completion of project deliverables
- Assist in the development of project strategies and action plans.
- Assist in the identification of resource requirements (human, physical and financial), and coordinate the use of external service providers.
- Undertake research and analysis of existing business issues, policies and procedures to identify trends and provide recommendations for consideration by the project.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including preparation of highlight reports, memos, briefing notes and Steering Committee Pack.
- Liaise with key stakeholders of the project to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
- Participate in negotiations with consultants and external agencies.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of business readiness activities, including developing the training and communication plan(s).
- Coordinate project communications, and develop publications, as required
- Plan and facilitate workshops, seminars and/or training sessions, as required.
- Assist in the preparation of any external reviews or audits, this includes collating documentation, scheduling interviews, organising catering, venue bookings and acting as the project liaison.
- Participate in procurement activities.
- Maintain the currency of project registers, including risks, issues, deliverables, and lessons learned.
- Review the project plans and schedule for quality e.g. capacity is not overallocated, any dependencies between projects are identified and tracked, leave is taken into account etc.
- Monitor project budget and ensure billable hours are correctly submitted by contract resources.

**What are we looking for?**
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in operating project management systems and project software i.e. MS Project.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management governance, frameworks, procedures and practices
- Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining project documentation/reports.
- High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualifications or certified training in project management or direct experience in ICT project support.
- Experience with MS Project and MS Azure Dev Ops and MS Office Suite preferred.
- Current National Police Clearance (within the preceding three months)
